The Upstate Welcomes Exciting Growth

There’s no question that things are changing around the Upstate. There is new construction popping up all the time and more people are flocking to our little corner of South Carolina than ever before.

With this in mind, we wanted to share some exciting developments happened around our Upstate community.

First up, The Global Commerce Park is under construction. This $50 million, 70-acre commercial and industrial complex is located near I-85 and Brockman McClimon Road. Plans for the park call for industrial distribution and light manufacturing on the property with an 850,000-square-foot, multiple-tenant building.

For anyone interested in setting up show at this new commercial complex, it is only a short drive from our very own O’Neal Village community.

Next, the Indiana-based logistics provider, ProTrans, is officially opening a new 230,000-sqaure-foot facility right around the corner in Spartanburg County. According to an article in the Upstate Business Journal, the facility is on 20 acres at 410 Global Commerce Drive at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport International Logistics Part next door to the SC Ports Authority’s Inland Port in Greer.

Finally, for all you avid golfers out there, it’s time to rejoice: TopGolf is planting some roots in Greenville! The 55,000-square-foot venue is expected to open to the public next summer at the intersection of I-85 and Pelham Road.

TopGolf Greenville is expected to create 325 full- and part-time jobs and includes three levels with approximately 1,500 square feet of private event space and 72 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host up to six players at a time.

From what we can tell, these latest developments are just a small glimpse of the potential growth that the Upstate will experience in the next few years. The sky is the limit!
